Description KU ANSTO Nestled in the tranquil bushland of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) Lucas Heights Campus (near Menai), KU ANSTO Children's Centre offers a truly special opportunity for passionate early childhood educators. Our purpose-built long day care service caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, designed specifically to support the families of ANSTO. We specialise in: The implementation of RIE®‘s educational approach, referred to as ‘Educaring’, an approach to working with infants and toddlers based on demonstrated respect in every interaction with them. 'Circle of Security', 'Attachment Theory' and ‘Play Spaces’ practices. Sustainable practices and environmental awareness issues in Early Childhood education. The role We are looking for someone with previous directing experience who is ECT qualified to lead the team on a permanent basis, working 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday. This role will be split between time working with children in the classroom and dedicated administration time for Educational Leadership and Director responsibilities. You will bring your sound pedagogical knowledge, experience of developing and maintaining relationships with children, families, staff and ANSTO, rostering, mentoring, daily routines, policy implementation whilst building a harmonious working environment. Completion of Circle of Security in the Classroom as well as the RIE® Foundations course would be highly beneficial. You will have support of a dedicated and experienced service administrator as well as the Education and Quality Manager, Education Support Manager, Child Safe and Wellbeing team, Learning and Development facilitator and wider support services available across the organisation. Criteria for the role At least 2 years of previous directing experience Experience of Circle of Security in the Classroom as well RIE® Foundations Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) Working knowledge of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree Completed Child Protection Training, National Child Safety Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates NESA Teacher Accreditation Australian working rights A current NSW Working with Children Check How to apply?
